BARTO — Christ Lutheran Church will worship on this Second Sunday in Lent on Sunday, March 13, with a worship service at 9:00 a.m. Rev. Matthew Finney will lead the congregation in the worship service and present the sermon. Prior to the worship service, Coffee & Conversation will be held at 8:30 in the Welcome Center. The Congregational Meeting that was rescheduled from February will be held immediately following the service in the sanctuary. The Confirmation class will meet in social hall for class following the meeting at 10:30 – 10:45 a.m. The mid-week Lent service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16. Also, full or queen-size blankets, which can be wool or wool blend, or any warm blanket material. Donations can be dropped off at Mission First during their operating hours M, Tu, Wed, Fri 9-12:00 or at the church on Sunday mornings. Special Collections – On Sunday, March 20, there will be a free-will collection for the costs associated with providing the Trinity Meal on March 22. A collection for Lutheran Disaster Response will be received on Sunday, March 27, and April 3. All money collected will be sent directly to LDR designated to the crisis in Ukraine. Grace Early Learning Center, a ministry of Grace Lutheran Church, is having a Wawa Hoagie Coupon Fundraiser. Wawa hoagie coupons are terrific for a quick lunch or dinner and have no expiration date. Each coupon will be redeemable for a Shorti 6” Wawa hoagie of your choice. Orders are being taken in increments of 5. All proceeds from this hoagie sale will be used to support new outdoor toys.
