BNPL service Klarna has expanded its partnership with URBN, which operates several global consumer brands, to offer its interest-free Pay in 4 plan online at Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, and items from BHLDN and Terrain. a press release said.

“Our aim is to offer consumers the shopping experience that best works for and fits with their lifestyle,” said Demo Lymberopoulos, global executive director, customer technology at URBN. “As consumers increasingly demand more convenience for how they shop and pay, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with Klarna to enable U.S. shoppers to pay how and when they want across their favorite brands.”

The release says the U.S. partnership is an extension of the collaboration the companies already have in several European countries.

“A smooth online shopping experience continues to play an essential role in how consumers engage and connect with retailers today,” said David Sykes, chief commercial officer at Klarna.

PYMNTS found that Klarna had recently debuted a new virtual shopping tool which would allow customers to shop online, using in-store experts.

The company said the Klarna Store App, which is merchant-facing, teams “can share photos and videos of items and demo products live directly from the store floor, from home, or even from emerging dark store concepts.”

This comes after the company bought social shopping platform Hero last year. That acquisition allowed in-store teams to become “contact creators” and offer real-time information about merchandise.

It will let customers connect through the in-store expert and chat and get photos or videos to get a similar experience to how an in-store shopping experience goes.
