Syracuse, N.Y. — The family that sold the Liverpool Golf & Country Club to Amazon has used a portion of the proceeds to bring new life to an underutilized commercial building in downtown Syracuse.
The investment brings part of the family’s business life in Syracuse full circle. Decades ago, Archie Ajemian mortgaged the building on South Warren Street to fund his development of the Liverpool golf course. Seventy-three years later, his descendants are using the money made from selling the golf course to rehab that same building.
