The Daughters of Isabella Jasper Circle #140 will meet on Monday, April 11, at 6:30 p.m., in Room 301, at the St. Joseph Parish Center in Jasper.

DOI Jasper Circle 140 Memorial Mass

The Daughters of Isabella Jasper Circle #140 will hold their annual Memorial Mass on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 6:30 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jasper/Kundeck Hall location, for those members who have died in the past year. Families and friends of the deceased are invited to attend.

Dubois County 4-H Pork Chop Drive-Thru

Dubois County 4-H is having a Pork Chop drive-thru dinner again this year. This will be held on May 1st and pick up will be at the Clover Pavilion from 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. Meals will be presale only and cost $12 a plate. Meal consists of a pork chop, cheesy potatoes, and green beans. Presale Tickets are available now and the last day to buy is April 19. Tickets are available at any German American Bank location or from any 4-H Council Member, 4-H Club Leader, or 4-H Member.

Dubois County Chamber Offers Info Session

The Dubois County Chamber of Commerce is planning an information session on Tuesday, April 15, to help employers in the county learn about ways to increase job satisfaction, reduce turnover and increase loyalty to their companies, by helping their employees learn new skills pertinent to their work; or a college degree or credential.

The in-person session is at 10 a.m. at the Dubois County Chamber of Commerce, 327 E. 4th Street, Huntingburg, IN. A virtual session is also planned for Monday, April 21 at 4 p.m.

Ivy Tech Community College will explain its Achieve Your Degree™ Program, and how companies can use their tuition reimbursement funds to best help their companies and their employees, through associate degree programs, or technical certificate level training.

Huntingburg Town-Wide Yardsales

The City of Huntingburg will host City-Wide Yard Sales on Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14, 2022. To be included in event promotion, participants must fill out and submit an application by noon on Friday, May 6. Applications are available to pick up at Huntingburg City Hall or on the City’s website at www.huntingburg-in.gov.

Women of the Church Forum Planned

Women of the Church, a Catholic leadership forum, will launch its first regional gathering June 17-19, 2022, at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology, St. Meinrad, IN.

Women of all ages will gather to nurture their leadership roles wherever they are on their journey. Participants will be invited to listen and learn from leaders in the Church and to bring their own experiences into conversation with others.

Registration is now open at www.womenofthechurch.org and will be capped at 50 participants. Deadline to register is June 1. The fee is $250, which includes room and meals, or $100 for commuters.

Plenary sessions will include a recorded video conversation with Kerry Alys Robinson and an in-person presentation by Dr. Kimberly Baker.

Earth Day Education Fair

Join the Stewardship Committee at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22 for an Earth Day Education Fair outside the front entrance at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, located at 800 W. 9th Street in Jasper. Featured at the educational event will be Booth Presenters highlighting this year’s theme of Earth Day, “Invest in our Planet”. There will be giveaways while supplies last including trees, courtesy of Vallonia State Tree Nursery, tomato plants, courtesy of Welps Farm & Greenhouse and The Memorial Hospital Foundation; and a $100 gift certificate from Buschkoetter’s Nursery, Lawn and Garden Center. The event is open to the public.

The Memorial Hospital Stewardship Committee believes that when individuals come together, the impact can be monumental. You can go green by making small changes that add up to making a big difference. Commit to earth-friendly acts, make more sustainable choices, reduce your carbon footprint, conserve energy and resources, collaborate on environmental projects in your community, and share your acts of green to help educate and inspire others to join the movement.

Trip to Bally’s Casino

A trip to Bally’s (formerly Tropicana) Casino in Evansville is planned for Thursday, April 21. Cost is $30.00 per person. You will receive $10.00 in free play and a $5.00 food voucher. We will leave from the NW corner of the Huntingburg Event Center at 10:30 a.m.Money is due by April 18th. We will need your Bally’s card # OR name, address, phone#, and date of birth when you pay.
